#17 Torso Balance

Appropriate gaits: Walk, Trot



A. In slow swooping motions, stretch the back of your right hand downward along your horse’s opposite shoulder.  Then repeat with your left hand.

Repeat: 5 x per gait

Focus: Your entire torso should swivel and bend forward as you reach.



B. One arm at a time, move your arm in slow vertical circles, forward and back.

Time: 30 seconds per arm.

Focus: Stretch torso upward when arm is up.


Good for: Rider balance
