#2 Leg Yield Stretches

Is this a helpful exercise?

Instructions:

Ride from the long side onto center-line.  Leg yield to the wall.  Allow your horse to stretch until you reach the corner.  Collect, turn onto the center-line, and leg yield to the wall.

Repeat: 4 x long-side per direction and per gait.

Appropriate Gaits: Walk, Trot

Optional Focus: Neck as straight as possible during leg yields.

Optional Focus: Influence each step individually with your aids.
