Appropriate Gaits: Trot
Practice sitting trot.
Perform transitions to-and-from trot, walk, canter.
20m, 10m circles and changes of direction.
Time: Until tired or 5 mins (take breaks for posting trot and stop early)
Optional Focus: Stretch your torso up.
Optional Focus: Push down with your heels to absorb each beat.
Optional Focus: Use your seat to encourage larger and smaller strides.
Optional Focus: Don’t grip with your thighs, allow them to glide up and down the saddle with each beat.
Optional Focus: Gentle contact with hands (flex your elbows). Keep your fists pointing upward for best flexibility.
Good for: Rider balance. Gripping with knees.
